Founded in 2020 by Kelley Moueix, a member of a renown Bordeaux wine family who produce cru classé
wines from Bordeaux and Napa, Maison Marrain represents effortless elegance and enduring character
that transitions from work commutes and school drop-offs to summer picnics and wine dinners.
We design practical bags that can effortlessly transition from day to night, city to vineyard, with a hand-made pedigree that simply gets better with age--just like the wines of Bordeaux!
Together with her husband, Edouard, they balance time in the vineyard with work, travel, raising two children and a never-ending list of extracurriculars.
The Maison Marrain office is situated directly on the vineyard of Château Bélair-Monange overlooking a valley of pristinely tended vineyards and the limestone village of Saint-Émilion.

It is a place, a home with a history on the property of Château Bélair-Monange where Kelley
created the atelier and office for the brand. The house is on a hill overlooking a valley of pristinely tended vineyards and the limestone village of Saint-Émilion. It is a little window into the wine-country that inspired the brand. Marrain is a nod to the French word for godparent and Kelley feels that this place and those around her have served such a role in the creation of the
brand, and she hopes that the message of the brand will carry on, inspiring
others to take the time to slow down and savor the beauty of the French
wine-country lifestyle.
