Merging a passion for French lifestyle with a background in fashion and beauty, Maison Marrain founder and designer, Kelley Moueix is American with a desire to share what she has learned about the art of French living.
While Kelley was living and working in Paris, she first visited the storied wine-making region that would become her home.
Having grown up in a somewhat Francophile family with a strong wine appreciation, Kelley excitedly accepted a last-minute invitation to Pomerol with a friend, and it was there that she fell in love with her future husband, Edouard Moueix- third-generation member of Jean-Pierre Moueix, producers and distributors of some of the world’s finest wines.
Having worked with eponymous names such as L’Oréal, Giorgio Armani, and Ralph Lauren, Kelley’s concept
of luxury has been firmly influenced by timeless elegance and effortless beauty. But since moving to Saint-Emilion and juggling
life as a mother and entrepreneur, luxury had taken on a new meaning and an ephemeral tone.
One that’s connected to a slower pace of life surrounded by natural beauty, and the enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures.
Kelley wanted to create a brand combining the simple pleasures and beauty of French countryside
living with the demands of modern life – allowing easy and chic transitions from country to city.
Kelley grew up in the United States in Colorado, Michigan and Connecticut.
After graduating from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania,
she worked for L’Oréal in New York, then in Paris. She and her husband Edouard now reside in Saint-Émilion, France with their two children.
